At a quaint restaurant in Virupapurgadde | Much like a toned down Goa, lots of foreign pseudo locals and the Hampi ruins right across the Tungabhadra banks.. For anyone who’s looking at unplugging in the countryside, Hampi is it.

Visarjan at Girgaon Chowpatty. Maddening crowd. Reduced noise levels. But highly disappointing in terms of environmental losses. Most people find it completely normal to plonk whatever rubbish they have right into the sea or on the beach.. Why do we expect anything better if we ourselves treat the city this way?

We’ve all has those memorable sunset moments in our lives. But has any of you enjoyed a moonset? This is one of those things that I never had on my bucket list (heck I never knew it happens) but it has since become an experience I can never forget.

(Camping out in the Indus Valley, by the Indus River, we saw the moon rising and setting behind the SECMOL mountain)

Something that I’ve been feeling for a while and more so since my return from Ladakh (that place spoils you in so many ways) is that somewhere along the way, being nice has been thrown out the window. It’s so cool to be indifferent. Niceness can be flashy; it can be phony; but maybe it could lead to being kind some day? What does it take for someone to smile? Or be warm. The Ice Bucket Challenge might be cool but maybe we all try The Nice Bucket Challenge for a bit and see what happens?

I DID IT!!! Considering I’m the last person on this planet to get addicted or even play any game and that I’ve been playing for only 3 days, this is kind of huge deal for me. Don’t think I was this happy for my board exam result even. Wohooo.

To the harsh brown mountains and the sky a hue of blue I’ve never see anywhere else. To the cold, unforgiving chill and to the warmth of the Ladakhis. To the land of utter contrast.
